Jaffery Academy - piling works
Somers Engineering Ltd was appointed as the structural engineer for the above project. The two level Activity Hall sat on a plinth of 998m2. Due to presence of very poor soils i.e. a backfilled land consisting of waste material such as construction debris like cement bags and it is saturated with water to a depth of 6m, piling of the columns was considered as the most economical and fast solution.
